Azm university students Jaafar El Sadek and Saleh Saleh presented their innovative business ideas at the Ideas Exhibition (Startup Weekend Support, SWS-III), under the patronage of the chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture in Tripoli and North Lebanon. This event was organized by the Scientific Center for Manufacturing and Production (SCMP), in collaboration with the Lebanese University and 'l’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie’ (AUF). This event was attended by large and diverse audience, including members of parliament, ministers, university and school directors, association leaders, industrialists, business owners and more.
Jaafar’s and Saleh’s business ideas were among the 16 pre-selected ideas, out of the 205 ideas applied for the SWS-III event.
Jaafar’s business idea “FI” (Fashion Intelligence), which consists of a 3D machine that produces customized clothes with less manufacturing time, after allowing its users to have a visual try of the design they have made with the help of artificial intelligence.
Saleh’s idea “Comfe Care” is to create a sustainable solution for elderly people and those with special needs who are struggling to get large-size special diapers at an affordable price and good quality.
Both Jaafar and Saleh presented their posters to the public during the ideas exhibition and then pitched their business idea in front of selected jury members. Prior to this event, they have participated in various workshops about how to conduct a feasibility study/market analysis and how to pitch a business idea. In addition, they were guided and mentored by the Azm University Entrepreneurship Center, whose main mission is to help students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and support aspiring entrepreneurs to build successful startup companies and positively drive the local economy in North Lebanon
