Who Can Apply?
Freshman
- Lebanese students who have completed their studies in Lebanon are not entitled to apply to the freshman program.
- Lebanese students who studied outside Lebanon (for at least 3 years) are allowed to apply to the freshman program.
- Lebanese students' holding another nationality that have completed their studies in Lebanon or abroad are eligible to apply to the freshman program.
- Non-Lebanese students who have completed their studies in Lebanon or abroad are eligible to apply to the freshman program.
Eligible Lebanese students applying for the freshman program must obtain “permission” from the MEHE prior to enrollment.
The freshman program requires completion of 30 credits, whether or not the student remains in the Faculty or shifts to another faculty. After that, Lebanese students need to apply and acquire equivalence from the MEHE in order to move to the sophomore class. For more info concerning the above, please refer to the Ministry’s website:

Sophomore
Students can apply for admission to sophomore class if they hold a Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalence, i.e.
French Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate Diploma, German Abitur or the GCE in the required subjects (a minimum of 5 different subjects at least two of which are at the advanced level, excluding Arabic)
Transfer
Applicants transferring from other institutions must submit official transcripts from all universities attended, along with academic catalogs.
Only courses with a grade equivalent to 70 and above are eligible for transfer.
When applying to East International University, kindly review the below required documents:
- A completed application
- 5 recent passport-size photos
- A clear photocopy of your identity card or passport for all the nationalities you hold
- Personal civil status record
- Family civil status record
- Statement of residency
- NSSF certificate
- An official high school transcript of the last three years in a sealed and stamped envelope
- Certified copy of Lebanese and/or French Baccalaureate
- Students applying to the Freshman program must obtain a certified copy of the Freshman permission from MEHE
