Students admitted to East International University must demonstrate
a level of English proficiency by presenting one of the standardized tests
accepted by the University or sit for an EIU English Entrance Exam.
Below are the recommended minimum scores for all the
tests, noting that these scores may be changed without prior notice:
IELTS |
6 |
TOEFL IBT |
66 |
New SAT Writing |
23 |
EIU EEE |
70 |
Students who do not meet the above scores are to be enrolled in the Intensive English Language Program (IELP) to develop the academic and study skills they need to progress to their undergraduate program.
Students enrolled in the IELP can enroll in courses under their undergraduate programs which do not require English proficiency.
