We are very proud of Kawthar Nadda, a business graduate with distinction from Azm University, and Hanin Wrayde, an architecture student at Azm University, who have recently completed the SDG Brain Lab program of the 2023-2024 academic year, awarded by the UN Global Compact Network Lebanon.
This 7-month program empowers Lebanese youth to contribute and tackle global challenges and make a difference toward a more sustainable future. Through this transformative journey, engaging in 21 training sessions guided by over 100 experts from various sectors, Kawthar and Hanin, along with participants from 10 other universities, worked to advance the 17 #SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the UN 2030 Agenda. Indeed, this program has tremendously helped them develop their interpersonal, analytical, research and collaborative skills.
Kawthar was enrolled in the Data Hub which is designed to learn about effective surveying, interviewing, targeting audiences, analyzing, pitching and report drafting. So, she did receive tailored training around research methodologies and report drafting. Lastly, she is a member of a team which will draft a report about policies and procedures in Debané Agri Company regarding gender equality.
Hanin was enrolled in the Brain Hub, which enabled students to showcase their creativity and dedication by pitching innovative solutions to real-world challenges faced by six partnering companies and NGOs, namely Ajialouna, Banque Libano-Française, Children’s Cancer Center, Difaf, Makhzoumi Foundation, and Medco.
