Azm University Media student Rezkallah Tourfee was selected among hundreds of applicants to represent Lebanon, and Azm University, in the fourth edition of the “Young Arab Media Leaders ” gathering in the United Arab Republic.
The Young Arab Media Leaders program nurtures a new generation of young media leaders as it engages youth from universities in several Arab countries through workshops and panel discussions, with talks on topics including television presentation, creative writing, video journalism, and digital media.
The workshops and intensive trainings are given by some of the most prominent media experts in the Middle East.
What distinguishes the program is that it is designed with the objective of developing an empowered generation of young media professionals and influencers.
The initiative aims to enrich the Arab media sector with highly qualified individuals who understand the issues faced by Arab societies, allowing them to be explored from an informed media perspective. The program’s stated goals are the following:
- Qualifying the next generation of professionals to enrich the Arab media sector, keep pace with its rapid evolution, and convey a positive image of Arab youth to the world.

In addition to trainings and workshops, the program offers participants the opportunity to connect with various public and private sector institutions across the Arab region that are keen to empower youth, such as Bloomberg, Reuters, AUD, Sky News, Al Arabiya, Google, Twitter, CNN, YouTube and many more.
Mr. Tourfee expressed his pride and gratitude in taking part in the program and invited his colleagues to take on challenges and aim high.
